April Read-a-Thon 2010 - Recap

To recap the April Read-a-Thon 2010, I am immensely glad I had signed up! Although my plans on reading kept being interrupted (plus, the time zone thing got a little funky), I ended up reading for a couple of hours and enjoying the adrenaline that was the Read-a-Thon!

I was only reading one book (didn't finish it), Digital Fortress by Dan Brown. In total, I went through 203 pages in 3 hours and 40 minutes. Not bad, considering I was very tired for most of this time, as well as that the font is INCREDIBLY small in my copy of the book.

I especially wanted to thank the cheerleaders for leaving so many comments on my blog and for keeping the excitement of the Read-a-Thon. Finally, a special thanks to all my book bloggers, whose company I constantly feel grateful for.

Congrats on finishing the Read-a-Thon. My first time to take part and I only did one book review for it - Sunday Salon: Read-a-Thon Wrap-Up

Glad you had a good time Nikola! I imagine the time zone thing was more difficult where you're at. Here it's easy - 7am to 7am. And still I slept all night long. :D

Totally understand you on the time zone. It's 2pm - 2pm for me and I gave in at 5:30am.
Glad you enjoyed it though!

Congrats on your first Readathon! I wish I was able to sign up, but I think you've convinced me to do it next year! Sounds like you had fun! Thanks for sharing!

I think you did a great job considering everything!
Yeah the time zone thing was a hazard, I kept wondering - What time is it there, when are you going to be reading so I can comment, when was your exam, etc.
I am glad you did it anyway.

I hate book with really small print.
Ha! Wanna know what I did - For my last book, I choose a large type book!!! It was so much easier to read with tired eyes. I think I will choose more of those for next time.

PS - my daughter (Ashley Amanda - "digitally parked") would love to hear from you, she doesn't have too many followers, I told her to comment on your blog :-) and that you would giver her some love.
