Teaser Tuesday #5

Teaser Tuesdays are hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.

Here are her instructions:
Grab your current read, turn it to a random page and share two teaser sentences from somewhere on that page.

BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)

Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Sticks and Stones by Jamie Craig. This is my first full on romance ever (and a gay one at that!) and it's not half bad. Look for the review one of these days. This book will also contribute to the two challenges you see on the right, the LGBT challenge and the Valentine's Day one.

Paul shoved Jack away with enough force to send him stumbling back to the wall. “Since you don’t understand when you’re not wanted, Philip will help you find your way off my property.” He sincerely doubted Philip was a Boy Scout, ready to lead the way with his trusty compass.

Great teaser, you threw me for a loop. I expected the usual romance. Can't tell it's different by the cover. Thanks for stopping by. I love your name. My son's name is Nicholai. What was I thinking? Did I read something Russian????

Woah! nice cover, heehee.
I am not at all into romance books though. I'll just come back to your blog and look at the cover from time to time.

Another good one Nikola. Here's mine, opening chapter of The Legend of Wolfboy - published anonymously by author in contract dispute w/ previous publisher. It begins publishing as it's written this week. http://LegendOfWolfboy.com/ Reviewers can contact the site for a review copy before it's public.
—————————————

Dusk was deepening toward another dark summer night and the chilly mountain air felt like frigid fingers running down their spines.

A near-full moon began to peak through the majestic mountain pines that dominate the western slope of the California Sierra Nevada mountain range, adding to what was already an eerie atmosphere.

“It was seven years ago today,” Ryan growled, his voice breaking the silence on this starless night, June 13, 1995. “The car radio said severe thunderstorms were threatening to hit the Sierras, but the Jacksons were set on going on their annual family vacation to Shaver Creek.”

I seriously doubt Philip is a boy scout, too! :-) I really like the sexy cover of this book.
