Book Blogger Hop #1

Book Blogger Hop

I'm excited to be participating in this fabulous Hop for the very first time! This week's question is:

What are you reading now and why?

The book I am reading at the moment is Suzanne Collins' Hunger Games. The fact that I'm reading this book is a testimony to the power of book blogs - I would never pick it out based on its cover, nor would the blurb interest me enough. But people raved about it, so I decided to try it. And I am LOVING IT! I read about 100 pages last night and it kept me up until 3.30AM - after which I think I dreamed something scary from the novel. No, it's not for the faint of heart, but it's one of the best YA books I've ever had the pleasure of reading. Make sure you pick it up ASAP!

That's an amazing testimonial to the power of book blogs. I haven't read this one, and probably wouldn't pick it either...and that's the story of my choice today, too.

Here's MY HOP POST

Loved Hunger Games!

I'm bloghopping today, seeing what people are currently reading, befriending new blogs. I'm reading a children's book from New Zealand called Under the Mountain that is on the 1001 Children's Books You Must Read list. Excellent.

And I am your newest follower! Hope you will stop by my blog and say hello!

Hunger Games was one of my favorites last year and its an excellent reading choice. Enjoy the whole series (but the first is the best IMO).

Hopping through. New follower!
I didn't expect to like The Hunger Games since I don't like dystopia, but I couldn't put it down. And I like Catching Fire even more.

I personally think this is the best book in the trilogy ... it really hooks you and I never read anything quite like it before. It is pretty intense for a YA book isn't it? Have fun with it!

Interesting! After hearing your thoughts on the book, I'll have to try it out. I even have it sitting on my e-reader from when it was on sale.

Thanks for stopping in on the blog. I'm sorry I am late returning the follow. Yesterday was pamper-me day at the salon...*sigh* I am so happy you liked my blog design. It took a while to get it to where I like it. Hunky guys can always dress up a page!;-)

I'll definitely be back to check out your posts! Have a fabulous Sunday Nikola!
